About CEFLI

Our Purpose

CEFLI is ‘The Forum that Connects.’ We bring Compliance and Ethics professionals in the life insurance industry together to discuss compliance issues, share best practices and network.

Our History

In 2011, a group of chief compliance and ethics officers recognized the need for a dedicated organization that could foster meaningful connections and help professionals stay ahead in an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving business and regulatory landscape. They also understood the importance of engaging with regulators in a constructive, non-advocacy setting to promote mutual understanding and shared learning. From this vision, the Compliance & Ethics Forum for Life Insurers (CEFLI) was established as a nonprofit, non-advocacy organization – the only organization dedicated exclusively to compliance and ethics in the life insurance industry.

What We Do
As the only non-advocacy organization devoted exclusively to compliance and ethics in the life insurance industry, CEFLI is the premier provider of compliance-related education and training. We are uniquely situated to help life insurance compliance and ethics professionals come together as a community through the offering of a diverse array of educational and networking Member benefits that include a blend of in-person and remote opportunities.
